The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association is the only organisation in Ireland supporting people living with MND and their families and carers. We receive very little state support and therefore rely heavily on the generosity of our supporters to continue our important work – more than 86% of our income comes from fundraising.
There are currently 400 people living with this devastating disease in Ireland.
Key services provided by IMNDA include:
Home visits by our 4 specialist MND outreach nurses
Financial assistance towards home care hours
Provision of specialist medical equipment on loan directly into homes
Funding towards counselling and holistic therapies
Freephone helpline & information service for clients
Funding towards research into the causes and treatments of MND
